Alce Nero moka barley is made exclusively using the Mondo variety of barley grown on the Marche hills. Harvested during the summer, it is slow-roasted in order to retain its nutritional properties. Barley is an essential part of the Mediterranean diet and is a good coffee substitute because it is naturally free from caffeine.
