Alce Nero cocoa biscuits with Fairtrade cocoa nibs are made using only extra-virgin olive oil and without eggs, flavourings or animal fats. The flour comes exclusively from wheat that has been grown within Italy. The cocoa is harvested by groups of small farmers in Latin America, including members of the Norandino Cooperative in Peru. The special recipe used to prepare them makes them nutritious and delicious at the same time. The Norandino Cooperative and Alce Nero are part of Cooperativa Sin Fronteras, a cooperative that has promoted the quality and wholesomeness of raw ingredients since it was established, yet which, more than anything else, fosters social and environmental sustainability.
