The preparation of this seitan “mince” takes even less time than the preparation of ground beef.
Allow the seitan to rest at room temperature before using. This will make separating it much easier. (Seitan from Bertyn sticks together because it is vacuum packed.)
Cut the package open above a plate and separate the seitan by hand.
If necessary, you can make your minced seitan even finer by mashing it with a fork. Your seitan is now ready to be used.
This seitan mince has already been seasoned with leek powder, a mixture of peppers and nutmeg. You don’t have to season it yourself before using it, but you can of course if desired.Ingredients:
Water, 25% wheat flour*, 25% wheat protein*, sea salt, leek powder*, pepper mix* (white*, black*, red pepper*, coriander*), nutmeg*.
*May contain traces of celery, mustard, sesame seed, nuts, groundnuts.
