Carrageen

Carrageen is most famously used as an old fashioned cure for an irritating cough. The seaweeds anti-microbial properties are great for internal and external body parts. Carrageen, often called Irish Moss, is a slightly sweet-flavoured seaweed accompanied by a shellfish note. It’s widely used as a natural thickening agent for savoury and sweet dishes such as jellies and jam.
